A finer quality 5.3 ounce medium weight 58 inch wide 100% linen that is woven with finer threads, and an increased thread count. The higher thread count makes 1C64 shrink less and gives this linen a very smooth and luxurious look and feel, earning it the moniker "luxury linen".
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

This is probably the most disappointing purchase I have made on this site. I do not see that this fabric is any better than the ILO19. As a matter of fact, I don't like it as well and I don't feel it is worth the extra money. Color is true but the higher thread count gives it a stiffer feel that I don't personally care for. It does not have that nice rumply texture that makes me love linen in the first place.
Very bright
This is an extremely bright red. Think maraschino cherry red. I washed and machine dried it before sewing, and it has a soft, comfortable feel and is surprisingly not too wrinkly.
the color was true to what I saw on my screen. Loved the fine texture of this fabric. Plans to make a sleeveless dress. As with all the fabric I have purchased from Fabrics-Store.com, I am amazed at how color fast their linens are. I always wash in hot water and have no problems with color loss.
This is a great red, not overly yellow tinged, like so many bright reds are. Just a brilliant rich red. It's a very close match to 'Firecracker'. The 1C64 linen itself is a luscious weave. Silky, and drapey. Think of good handkerchief linen, with more substance. If you haven't tried 1C64 yet, I think you are missing out.
I have been buying the All Purpose Linen for my work shirts and it is perfect for those. I bought this while it was on sale and fell in love with it. It is much softer, with an even nicer drape. I made a simple shift dress from this delicious red and will be buying more of this in the future.
I used my linen scraps to make a potholder from Victoria Jones Collection pattern #408. The colors here are two Yarn-Dyes, IL051-881 and IL022-835, plus IC64-Cream Pink and Tango Red.

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
