This is a 19" wide twin to the 4C22 Rustic linen line.

Woven out of the same size thread and with the same thread density this IL084 is just woven to be narrow. That means less cutting time for you and you can get to the fun part of using your linen items sooner.

At a heavier weight of 7.1 ounces a square yard this 100% linen is referred to as Rustic due to its more textured look and feel. Durable and perfect for projects that require just a bit more substance.

Yarn Dyed fabrics are made using threads that are dyed separately before being woven. This allows for a larger variety of patterns and designs that stand out from the base fabric color. Design created exclusively for F|S.

Narrow width cloth is great for:

  • Shopping bags
  • Purses
  • Placemats
  • Runners
  • Decorative pillows
  • Kitchen towels
  • Appliance covers
  • Potholders
  • Cushions

The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

This is such a fun durable fabric. They do look like fruitstripe gum! I made tea towels for Christmas gifts. Using a decorative stitch in a matching color. I'm sure they will be a huge hit. I will be ordering more for myself.

Love this Fabric

I love yellow and white! I purchased and reviewed the red and orange colorways of this fabric. Rather than repeat all of my suggestions again, the things I found most helpful were: Wash and dry on delicate to minimize wrinkles. After the second wash, remove from the dryer while still damp. As you press, grab the selvages on opposite sides and tug. This relaxes the wrinkles and makes pressing easier. This way you don't need steam to get a crisp, flat fabric.

In July of 2022, I bought 6 yards of each of the yellow, orange and green IL084 Olivier stripes. My plan at that time was to make either placemats or towels or both for our new house. It was in November of 2022 when the house was finished and we were able to move in. At some point, I got the idea to use the fabric for curtains for our oversized pantry (aka Giganta-Pantry). This is the final result. With IL019 Bleached peeking through from the semi-sheer layer. Semi-sheer because that window faces south and gets a lot of the Texas sun. This fabric was a dream to sew, too. Perhaps because it is a little heavier fabric.

LOVE your linen, and love hand embroidery. And.....I have a passion for dish towels.

I bought 3 yards of 7 of the colors and made 4 hands towels each. This will make beautiful gifts and liven up my own kitchen. I love the colors. Like Juicy Fruit Gum. I did not pre wash as it wasn't going to make a difference. I cut 27" widths and surged and turned the ends. I left the salvage on. Quick and easy. The towels dry so fast you really don't have to put them in the dryer. Even in humid south Florida. Posted by Joyce
