At a heavier weight of 7.1 ounces this 100% linen is referred to as Rustic due to its more textured look and feel. Durable and perfect for projects that require just a bit more substance.
The Premier Finish undergoes a two-step process to give the cloth a luxurious, supple feel right out of the box.
First, we apply a softener to give the fabric a silkier surface. Then, strong blasts of air are blown into the woven cloth. This beats up the fibers to make them softer and mimics the fiber bending process that the fabric undergoes when you've used it a lot.
This finishing process gives the fabric a much softer and more luxurious hand. It will be less prone to deep creases and have less linting. Shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration based on the fabric type ( thread size, count, weave type).

I bought this color because it seemed like it was a bright yellow. When it arrived I was disappointed because it was darker than the photo on line In fact, it is not too different from "Auntum Gold" which I have quite a bit of. I have been hoping that "Zenith " would come back into stock, and this would go some way to me having two very different yellows. But now I have a huge amount of basically the same yellow. Will "Zenith" ever come back?
This fabric is beautifully golden, sturdy and easy to work with. Delivered quickly too.
This color has a muted golden yellow, with a taupe-ish tinge, my new favorite color, this shade is absolutely gorgeous.
Originally I wasn't sure about such a bright golden yellow, but I ended up being asolutely thrilled with the color after I finished sewing. Pattern was from a Japanese sewing book I got on Etsy. I like the thickness of the fabric, perfect for a jacket.

Fitted slipcover in heavy (7.1) sand for an old chair to add color and light. Sturdy, easy to work with fabric.
My reversible AKIRA cardigan is even more versatile now, with a bold side full of warm colors and another one a little bit wiser but with a colorful neckline. I did not modify the sleeve hem lengths so the sleeves were a little bit too long for my taste but then I rolled the sleeves and felt in love with the colors popping from the underside of the cardi! I'm so happy with the result and was so delighted to take the set with me on holiday. I'm now enjoying wearing these garments as loungewear while waiting for the weather to warm up in Paris.

I wanted to spice up my den a little so I made pillow covers for my couch with a variety of colors of the 7.1 softened Linen. It was so easy to sew on and I'm thrilled with the look. I got 2 22 inch pillow forms and made 20 x 20 covers so they would be extra full.

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
