The beautiful open weave texture of this linen gives it a light, airy opaque look, making it an excellent choice for apparel, intimate apparel, accessories, interior design projects and so much more. This cloth is 57 inches wide.

The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Best All Around

Love this fabric. Its thin, light and great to travel with. Cover up in the car from the sun or aircon, Use on the beach instead of heavy beach towel, or wrap around while working on the computer all day and its hot or cold. I wash all my linens in cold and gentle and let them soften in time.

Not bad but not great

This fabric requires a fair amount of processing in order for it to be usable. I washed it in extremely hot water and high heat cycles twice to soften the fabric which is very stiff at first. It will lose a lot of fibers in the process and shrink as is expected, After that, there's a a lot of piling left on the fabric that you'll need a traditional lint brush (not a lint roller) to remove. And finally you will need to stream press the fabric to remove all of the wrinkles and remaining stiffness. After all of that, you will have very soft linen albeit still a bit slubby. This isn't fine linen by any means but it is light in weight. I wouldn't recommend it for a historical costume outer garment, but it's fine for an under petticoat or modern baby clothing,
