IL019 All-purpose Honeysuckle Softened - 100% Linen Fabric - Medium (5.3 oz/yd2) - 3.00 Yards, Width 58"
HONEYSUCKLE linen's
coral pink slices through Pop artist Patrick Caulfield's paintings and
prints, causing a striking and instantly memorable impact.
Still life
and interior views were his favored subjects, brought bursting to life
with the acid-sharp colors and flat, gimmicky style of comic book art.
Eclectic arrangements of big, bold, and simplified objects in deliciously
bright colors, patterns, and textures allowed Caulfield to produce
imagery as seductive and enticing as a children’s sweet shop.
At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 58 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Customer Questions and Answers
Would this color be warm or cool? Thank you, Denise
Hello, this color is slightly warm, but that could be the lighting where I am tricking me! This fabric is one that tends to do that. So we recommend getting a sample to see.
Please bring back honeysuckle!
It is exactly the color of honeysuckle petals! My daughter picked it for a dress, and she's excited because she's all about PINK! This is the brightest and pinkest pink linen on this site. Very soft, too.
As other reviewers have noted, it's violently pink, more so than it looks on screen. It's beautiful and would make lovely normal clothes, but I was attempting to use it for historical costuming and while the rose I thought this was is kind of a stretch, the fuschia it is definitely would not have been available back then! I'll be exchanging it for another shade.
I always buy a sample beforehand so as not to be surprised by the color. While I liked the color on the small sample, when I received my yardage purchase, I thought "that is a lot of pink". I ended up using it for a summer nightgown and while I'm happy with the end result, this fabric had a lot more slubs than other pieces I've purchased.
A tip to keep the original color of any fabric you buy ,is white vinegar. Finish off the edges before washing and drying, then place your fabric in a basin of a cup of white vinegar and then add enough cold water to cover the fabric. Allow it to soak in this mixture for about an hour. Then you just wash it and dry it to help with any shrinkage, -before- you create your project. You'll be very happy with the results.
What a happy, cheerful pink--I'm not a pink person and I bought this fabric to sew for others but I'm thinking I need some of this uplifting color myself. I can't help but smile when I look at this color! Get a swatch if you're looking for a particular pink.
Everything I expect, soft, drapey, easy to work with. Bright happy color for summer!
Don't know how they came up with the name Honeysuckle but it is a very beautiful color and I absolutely love it. It is a happy pink.
I'm making a tunic top from this pretty pink linen. Before I cut out the pattern, I washed the fabric twice in hot water and dryed it twice in a hot dryer, as well. The color has a faint touch of peach in it but it is definitely pink. Can't wait to wear my new honeysuckle pink tunic!
This fabric quality was great, it's so soft and wonderful BUT after a single washing of just this linen in cold water alone - my fabric turned basically orange-pink instead of pink-pink. I had a short order project I was working on and I had to do a lot of extra work because the fabric lost A LOT of color after a SINGLE wash in cold water.
When I create a piece, simultaneously I am always thinking about garments I already own and how they will pair with each other. To keep your look fresh, it is great to add new concepts and silhouettes that change up your style. These pants were so much fun to make, especially in this energizing FS HONEYSUCKLE Linen. I am sharing how to take one piece and see how it can work into your lifestyle for various occasions here: blog.fabrics-store.com/2021/07/08/warlene-rene-styling-tips-honeysuckle-linen-draped-palazzo-pants-three-ways/
