abstract painter Howard Hodgkin saw this colour's vibrant, sparky
potential, layering it into his evocative arrangements of colour,
texture, shape and light as a foreground flare of colour that jumps

Planning to use this for Christmas dishtowels and perhaps napkins. It has a nice hand after washing.
Just enough texture!
This yummy fabric washed well. The texture after washing is just enough to be suitable for summer wear. I got it thinking if it was too much, I could always use it for toweling. But it is lovely. I can't wait to make it up.
I love the color and the texture of this fabric. However after I finished my dress, I noticed the waffle weave broke down in several places and there are a series of loose threads on the front of my dress! :( I also bought the beige color and had no problems with the fabric, so perhaps this is an aberration.
Nice fabric
This fabric pops with brown fabric. It is sturdy and the color is a slight orange tinted red. I only had dark red thread and that matched.
The waffle weave is very small. I thought it was larger and when washed would waffle and give texture. It did not. I was disappointed. I purchased 6 yards to make a blanket. It didn't shrink and add texture like I expected. The color is beautiful and stays bright even after 3 washes with very hot water and and dryer. I expected it to be like the thatch. I sewed the blanket and then washed. Now I may cut apart and try to figure out a different project with this material.
Made a neck pillow with two sides waffle and one side brown with bright color starburst design. Very dark orange.

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
