A finer quality 5.3 ounce medium weight 100% linen that is woven with finer threads, and an increased thread count. The higher thread count makes 1C64 shrink less and gives this linen a very smooth and luxurious look and feel, earning it the moniker "luxury linen".

I love to sew and this is so nice to work with
I made a duvet cover from this linen. It is super sturdy and soft to touch, however it is not as soft as old cotton cover I replaced (which was super soft after 6 years of use). It feels different and slightly scratchy on skin however I am already getting used to it and hoping this will soften more with washes.
I have not had an opportunity to make anything with this lovely, smooth linen. I am excited by the possibilities. Plans are for a nightdress, summer tops, and that doesn't even touch on the notion of exploring dying techniques. I am so happy to have found my next addition!
In a word: Luxury! Smooth weave, seems Strong yet looks Delicate! The Best of Both Worlds with this one! I'm thinking a Feminine Elegant Blouse, Simply Styled: Bateau Neck Line maybe a slight, sheer IL030 Rolled Collar, gently tapered at the waistline, cropped at the hipline. Wear with any skirt in the closet! Dress it up or go casual, with a lightweight flowey summer floral (also means lay off the desserts for awhile!) Thank you Fabrics-store!!! A High Quality staple, that will Always, Look Beautiful!
I receive my first order of your linen and love it so much that I'm carefully looking at possibilities for things to make. I'm leaning toward a bathrobe and maybe a breezy top or dress for the summer. I'm excited to get to work on something soon.
As a new customer from Canada, I was nervous about both import taxes, duty, brokerage fees that would be imposed and was very surprised to find that only local taxes were charged, no brokerage and I believe it was a $10 handling fee. I am very happy to know that buying linen of this high a quality (much better than anything I can find locally) is affordable. Given the high exchange rate, I'll stick to buying fabrics on sale only for now. The fabric washed beautifully and my dilemma at the moment is trying to decide whether to make a duvet cover or a set of sheets. Delivery was extremely fast as well. Very happy with my purchase.
I love this Fabric! Using it for gathered bed skirt. Washed up beautifully. I'm using leftovers for top or napkins....
I used this fabric to make placemats and napkins. I painted on them using Jacquard fabric paints. . The paint held really well on them after washing. The napkins have been washed numerous times and the paint is starting to slough a bit but it looks kind of cool.
How sad that delivery, administration fees and taxes, over 55$, will preclude me ever using this site again as the quality of the fabric is excellent. I thought I was buying a good deal but it turned out to be extremely expensive, sorry fabric store but you've lost a customer in France.
Our apologies that these costs are out of your budget. Unfortunately, our shipping providers dictate the shipping costs, but they provide the best, fastest, and most reliable service.
Great fabric. Used to make a ruffled summer dress. One this to note is this is bright white, not quite the off-white in the picture.
First of all I found this company on line this fall and could not believe the quality of these linens. I began making Christmas gifts with several different products. After presoaking twice in hot water, I washed it in the washer on a warm wash/cold rinse cycle and machine dried it on a medium temperature. I made several linen bread bags from 1C64 for storing homemade breads and bagels. Some have a casing of purchased cotton bias tape. These were washed several times in the machine with a "color catcher so the casing would not bleed onto the bag. The bags have a rustic appeal but I did iron them lightly. They have become soft and lovely thru multiple washings. At first I made them with all French seams. As I read more I realized the flag felled seam worked better on the side seam and kept a French seam at the bottom. I also learned to put a button hole in the top before folding it over about 2" to finish the top edge and top stitched it close to the turned under raw edge and a second seam about ¾" on the other side of the buttonhole. And threaded twill tape thru the casing at buttonhole. These were simple gifts to make as is but one I embroidered a sheaf of wheat which dressed it up. I will try to post pictures in another post.
I was so excited to reveive my purchase so quickly. This is such high quality and I can't wait to start sewing.
I wasn't sure if it was worth my while to order from the USA (i'm in UK) but the delivery was insanely fast and the discount I got was incredible so definitely worth it. It's not very soft (but then it hasn't been sold as washed/softened) but I imagine this will come with washing. I'm looking forward to dyeing and using in the summer!
As a new customer I have found a new fabric to sew into very green items for friends and family. While the shipping cost is pricey, the speed in which the fabric comes to my home is remarkable. I made several bread bags as Christmas presents with this linen. I love the hand of this fabric after washing the fabric in hot water to preshrink the fabric. I did embroider one of the bags but realized I did not have time to finish them all with a sheave of wheat so I kept it for myself. I plan to make several more that are embroidered as I make most of our bread and often give it away as housewarming or hostess gifts. It will be fun to have a few of these bags on hand for an emergency gift. I did find that flat felled side seams made it easier to sew up enclosed side seams so raveling would not be a problem. I also liked making a button hole in the top hem for the opening of the casing of the drawstring. This fabric will make wonderful bottoms like shorts, pants, and dresses. I will post a picture of the bread bags below.
I've bought this before and love it. Made a great summer nightgown. This time I bought 10 yards to make a linen duvet cover. I haven't decided whether to experiment with natural dye and n it first or wait until it's sewn and then dye it.
Transforms after washing into a very usable fabric for creativity. Have made clothing, simple quilts, tablecloths and napkins, pillow covers and working on a chair cover. Bought 15 yards on sale as it is a great linen to have on hand for many projects. Great value and always turns about well.
I ordered 5 yards to make 4 pillow cases for Christmas gifts. It was very stiff on arrival, as expected. I washed and dried it 5 times, then ironed before cutting. Using the "Burrito/Sausage/Roll-up technique" (see Crafty Gemini on YouTube), I added a satin ribbon trim, French seamed and pressed. They are gorgeous! Hope my dear ones love sleeping on linen as much as I do. There's enough fabric left for a little summer top; I'm looking forward to that!
This linen is beautiful. I live in an area with no fabric stores closer than 50 miles and those stores don't carry any linen. It's very nice to be able to purchase quality linen and even better to receive it in a short period of time. That's saying a lot in this difficult time.
This is my first purchase from Fabric-Store and I absolutely LOVE this linen! When it arrived it was super crisp and I wondered about the softness. I immediately put it in the washing machine on permanent press warm and then to the dryer on permanent press (wanted to see if it could handle it vs. cold and low - and it sure did!) It came out so great! Soft and the perfect amount of delicate wrinkles. I ended up pressing it so I could cut it easier for sewing projects. I made a couple envelope pillow cases for my bed pillows and LOVE!!! I will not press them going forward out of the wash, but important to do before cutting. I can see using this linen for a variety of projects including bedding and clothing!
Much like with the IL19, I was most disappointed with this when I first opened it. But since we were overseas when I'd ordered it and I didn't get back until after the 30 day trial period, I thought I'd just wash it up and see if it helped. I washed in medium heat water, and dried on medium heat and now I love, love, love this fabric. So glad I didn't give up on it before washing. This gets better with time and repeated washing!
I used this beautiful fabric to make the Riva (short sleeve) shirt and love it! Not too sheer and so comfortable; receive compliments, too! Chose 4C22 for Morocco pants (lengthened 2" and used flat felled seams) and have a lovely summer set. A friend wants a long-sleeved version, so I will be making that for her. She thought it was RTW and was surprised I had made it myself. Don't you love when that happens?
Sign up for emails. I got a great priceon a 5 yard cut. I read to pre-press before pre-washing to help with wrinkles, so i tried that. I intend to dye it and use for garments.
This fabric is perfect for simple linen dresses. Classic in white with fun printed bias tape or dye them ( my favorite dress is dyed sunshine yellow). I've made 7 soft linen dresses during COVID 19 stay home be safe. . Great comfortable alternative for yoga pants when working from home . I just cut 5 yards for 7 pillow cases. I am going to try ice dying this weekend. I've paid $80 a piece of linen pillowcases . Never again!
The quality of this linen! It is just so beautiful and wonderful to use! I am finding I do not need to prewash it for the sheets I have made, just cut and sew. It has an exquisite hand, the feel of it is smooth and soft, very silky! I am so loving this fabric and plan to make curtains for my home next. It has been a linen-filled Spring here! THANK YOU Fabrics-Store.com for all the wonderful offerings and great sales. My life has changed because of linen!!

I'm very pleased with my purchase so far. The only reason for 4 stars is that I haven't had a chance to work with it yet but I'm sure that it is the perfect weight for my project.
I got some as an experiment to see if it was worth the extra money, and I'm so glad I did. this fabric is so soft and has a really lovely drape. It's a little bit more opaque in light colors than the IL019. It feels more substantial in a nice way, not a heavy way. I will most definitely be buying more in the future, especially for clothing.
This linen is special - I like sewing with it so much, and it has a lovely texture. The garment I made with it is light, and drapes with beautiful folds. I will look for other ways to use it. It's worth the higher price.
Bought to make a newsboy cap with the idea that linen protects against some EM radiation. Have not made the cap yet. Didn't order enough from first DB remant. Additional material was slightly different shade. Also, lighter in weight than I expected ( I'm learning about linen). May save for something else, and order canvas weight for the cap. Thank you.
I haven't done anything with my linen yet, but I have good ideas for it. I like everything about this fabric so far: the price was perfect for its quality, the softness and thickness were exactly what I expected, and it got here a few days after I ordered it without any trouble.
Received my first order of linen to make altar linens for our church. After washing it twice and drying, the linen was a dream to sew! Since I had never purchased linen on-line, I didn't know what to expect. It is a quality fabric and I will be back as a repeat customer. Many thanks for your store. P.S. I showed one completed linen (purificator) to my pastor to see if he approved. He loved it! Good thing, I bought 15 yards. ;)
Linen towels - The top is pleated. They are finished with bias tape, top, and bottom, and the sides are hemmed. Incidentally the white bias tape, I made myself from lightweight linen.
This is machine embroidery I did. Both of the designs are from Designs By Juju. One of my favorite gifts to give is homemade bread in a bag
The linen I ordered is working perfectly so far. I mainly use it for bread bags but am getting ready to try a pillow. So far though everything is going well. As soon as I got the linen I serged raw edges then handed it off to my husband to wash. Now I just pull out and cut what I need.
These bread bags show a couple different casings I tried along with the embroidery on 1 bag.

Just completed ruffled body pillow case out of this. It sews beautifully and sets off my meadow linen sheets nicely. Now to finish the binding for the quilt...

Handkerchief linen as a background for my tatting.
Linen Purificator is used during the celebration of Mass. The priest wipes the chalice with it. The cloth needs to be soft so it doesn't scratch the soft metal of the chalice. The small red cross in the center is machine embroidered with hand crocheted edging of cotton thread.
