IC012 is 59" wide, tight  Plain Weave Poplin in 100% Cotton.

It feels smooth and even to the touch, with a light and airy drape.

Poplin is the finest fabric we offer, and it is a great option for summer dresses,  blouses, and loungewear.

It tends to be slightly transparent and may require a lining.

This  Poplin is 3.4  ounces a square yard but strong enough fabric to stand up to the washing machine.

FS exclusive hand-painted artworks are printed with the best available machinery, using reactive dye ink that gives long-lasting colors and is not harmful to the body, to transfer these paintings onto 100% Cotton fabric.

We also brought two solid colors: white and black.

All designs are created and available exclusively at F|S.com.

The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

MLT is code for multi-color, so in the case of this fabric, is it blue combined with many other colors as pictured. This is a stock code.

Here is the Fabrics-Store Julia pattern maxi length skirt in the Susan Majolica blue poplin. I love a dramatic, tiered skirt and the ability to dress it up or down, and style it for all four seasons is a huge plus. I fell in love with this print, in this colorway, although I'll admit poplin is not usually my first fabric choice due to its crispness and lack of any stretch or give. But I couldn't unsee this fabric for the Julia skirt. I only worried a bit that the crispness would make the skirt too poofy, and when finishing the last tier, I was definitely thinking, wow, this is a whole lot of fabric! But my worries were unfounded- poplin does give a little extra body to the skirt but that just adds to its romantic appeal. I also made the Julia top in the same fabric, but it is too much pattern for me, personally, to wear head to toe. In the summer I plan to wear this with a cute chambray top, or a tee, and for cooler weather, a lightweight sweater knit, or even a tee and a jean jacket - endless possibilities for different looks!

I think often cotton poplin invokes the image of dress shirts and preppy clothes. When I was asked if I wanted to review this fabric, I was excited. I love to try think outside the box to what might be thought to do with fabric. I have used a lightweight cotton poplin before and its so perfect for gathering. When I got the fabric in the mail, I knew that it was going to be a dream to work with. It felt so luxe, and I immediately wanted to make something that had lots of gathers. Initially I was thinking about making a dress, but I couldn't land on a pattern that was perfect. I decided to make a two piece and wanted it to look romantic and almost like a dress. The stars aligned. The Calvin Crop testing just opened up. A delightfully modern two-piece set came to mind.

Another picture of my tunic. I love the poplin Susan Majolica with the oversized blue roses. It's gorgeous! This my shirt tunic that I wear day and night these days, with leggings or with pajamas. Thanks for this lovely and unique fabric.
