Gorgeous Weave!

Another fabric that utterly exceeded my expectations. I have submitted a photo to show the intricacy and beauty of the weave. I will post again when I have washed it, but for now I am just admiring it.

Beautiful

You have to want something a bit rustic to love this fabric. It has made beautiful bath and hand towels and a lovely table cloth. I don't iron it and just appreciate the rather raw beauty. It is very absorbent and drys quickly so is very environmentally friendly. It smells of nature in a good way. I love everything about it and get a lot of compliments and people wondering where I got it so they can use my ideas.

Great for towels

I've been using a bath towel made from this fabric for quite some time and I love it. Because of the loose weave, it sheds out a ton of lint but it's worth the extra washings and work.

This is what the fabric looks like washed and dried. The weave has tightened up but is still visible and the loosely woven parts have risen up giving it a wonderful texture. It threw a LOT of lint and after one wash and dry it is still quite rough. After washing and drying I ran it through the rinse and spin cycle to make it wet again then put it in a hot dryer for just five minutes, shook it out and hung it up. I treat all my linen clothes and fabrics that way and find that I rarely need to iron them except perhaps to touch up collars and cuffs. A few reviews of the similar jigsaw puzzle fabric said that it became so puckered and wrinkled after drying that it was unworkable. This fabric also looked bad fresh out of the dryer, but it looks great after my usual treatment.

The photos on this site do not do justice to the beautiful and intricate weave of this fabric. The threads are thick as in all the heavy weight fabrics, but the weave is open and airy with amazing details. I have photographed it against black here to make the detail stand out. My original plan was towels and some interest to a monochromatic patchwork throw, but it is so gorgeous I am going to wear it.
