Lori profile image The fabric takes some getting used to but....

After washing and a warm dryer the fabric becomes quite soft. It's lovely. Yes, it frays and is not easy to sew. Choose a simple pattern and you can make something quite wonderful with it!

Carol profile image Terrible shrinkage

I had previously made two dresses from other colors in this line that I was pleased with. However, both this linen and the cream shrank so much that the garments were unwearable and had to be thrown away.

Made beautiful curtains.

I love this fabric! I had my friend make me 6 panels of curtains with this fabric. I love how you can still see thru it but it blocks the sun from shining thru. Beautiful!

Made a caftan style dress with a vegan leather trim around the neck. Fabric is soft after one washing, however, there was a bit of shrinkage.

If you are considering ordering this fabric... do it!!! More texture than any linen I've ever worked with - cozy yet light weight. Will definitely order more! ( shop this pullover at etsy.com/shop/shieldsdesignhouse )

I made a nightgown, comfy and chic.

I plan to use this natural open weave for window coverings. It shrinks in width by an inch or two, negligible in length. (R) side is post machine wash/dry. Comes out intriguingly puckered. (L) side is after a quick steam iron. May be a little trickier to sew than I thought.
