Rich tawny port color
Reviewer: Conny

I always use 4c22 when I am making a fighting tunic to go under armor. This has a really nice weight , a full rich color.

DRAB color; coarse weave- not good for garments
Reviewer: Katherine

Very disappointed in this fabric; had high hopes and so many projects in mind for this if it had been nice as it is difficult to find linen that is not overly thin. ---------- Fabric store is calling this (quote) rustic. This implies a charm it doesn't have. Looks like a yucky-to-just-okay upholstery fabric. Color is dead; I will have to dye to give it life. Looks like a cotton/linen as it has no linen-like subtle glow. Probably 57 inches because it was intended manufactured for upholstery; that's my guess. -------- Low thread count from a bulky yarn. Appearance is more like a cotton/linen as it has no linen-like subtle glow. I have had linens of similar weight before that were suitable for lovely garments. This has zero charm. ---- (I am not signing my name so Fabric Store is signing this [sic] Anonimous.)

All of your fabrics are beautiful! 4C22 is a bit heavier so it was great for this project. Thanks!!!

Nice fabric, made a night gown out of it, thinking about making a kimono to go with it.

My tawny port looks like wild cherry. I'll work with it cause I need a maroon jacket by next week.

Very happy with my purchase.
Reviewer: Becky

I purchased four different linens from this store and am very happy with each one. This one, Tawny Port, is nice and heavy. It has a nice softness to it also. I was very happy with the store's communication and the generous cuts of fabric. I will definitely be a regular visitor to this store. Thanks.

This color is amazing- not too bold but eye catching and perfectly flattering. This 7oz softened linen drapes quite well, is opaque and super comfortable to wear, and it holds up nicely after washes.

Fighting tunic, embellished with embroidery and the saga of the Boca Burger, cuff runes one says it is good to be king, the other ouch my thumb. The saga are the runes that run completely around near the hem edge, each seam is embellished with embroidery, hand woven trim purchased from White Wolfe and Phoenix , This picture is part of the back, also embellished with a fire breathing embroidered dragon.

This heavyweight linen is great for making the linen kimono jackets I sell in my etsy shop. Fabric has a nice weighty feel and is cool to the touch--really is a wonder fabric! etsy.com/shop/NausikaaTextileArts?ref=hdr_shop_menu

Well, here's my college bomber jackets. Both in heavyweight linen. Morehouse is in Tawny port with optic white stripes. Howard is in natural linen with ultramarine blue stripes. The tawny port worked out well.

I adore the 4C22 linens for my hand-sewn 18th century pieces. The fabric is sturdy and solid, but has a delightful softness and flow after a wash or two. Tawny port is a rich, beautiful purple wine color. This jacket and petticoat are my first completely hand-sewn 18th century ensemble. Also pictured: fichu and cap (IL020)
