This fabric has a rougher hand than I expected

Also very hard to iron. I'm going to wash again to see if it softens more. Right now, highest temp/steam on iron is not removing all the wrinkling.

Hello, We recommend ironing while the fabric is still damp after washing. You can also wet the cloth and roll it up so the moisture sinks into the linen fibers. This combined with a hot iron with lots of steam has proven to be a game-changer for us when we iron our linen.

color

This is not white, Bleached or any other. It is a Cream color. Very disappointed.

Love this fabric.

So easy to work with! Has the look and hand of linen without the negative unraveling properties. Highly recommended!

Mixed feelings

This is the first piece that I have ordered that is not 100% linen, mostly have the 5.3 oz softened. It is very different. Like the feel of it and the texture lines in the weave. Has a nice crispness after pressing. Either this is a short piece or more shrinkage than the 5.3oz as it is 3 1/2" less than three yards after the first wash and straightening. I will wash it a couple more times before I decide what to make out it or if to indigo dye.

Love, love my curtains! I used IS003 to make them, and it was a pleasure to work with this fabric. I also made a summer bead spread and pillow covers. It is true! You can become addicted

This shirt is a project in my book "Smoyg: Pattern Darning from Norway" by Yvette Stanton. The collar is worked on 40 count evenweave linen, in pattern darning. The shirt fabric is Fabrics-store.com's lovely cotton linen blend fabric. I was really happy with how the fabric made up into a lovely crisp blouse. I really think that those of us who embroider should wear our embroidery more. I therefore have chosen to include embroidered garments in my most recent books. The book contains the instructions and pattern for the shirt and the embroidered collar, so that you can make one too.
