This made a beautiful table cloth for our church communion table. It hangs beautifully and is machine washable and dryable - just what we like! Thank you.

Simply Wonderful

I recently purchased this fabric to make a pair of summer shorts out of and it is, for lack of a better word, phenomenal! The slight extra weight this fabric has over other \"lightweight\" fabrics offered here makes it perfect for any projects where light is too light and middle is too heavy. It takes dyes beautifully after its been washed and creates an interesting cross hatch texture because the dye reacts differently to each fiber. Do yourself a favor and work with this fabric! Despite previous reviews on it, you most certainly will be required to iron it after every wash. I followed care instructions to the letter and it came out of the dryer with a pebbled texture to it. It easily ironed out though.

Great material to sew and to wear

I have purchased the blend of linen/cotton several times and enjoy the feel of the fabric over linen. It is easy to work with and anything that I have made has turned out very nice. I work at a living history museum and I like that when I use the linen/cotton blend, I don't have to iron the garment after it comes out of the dryer. I would recommend the linen/cotton fabric for any garments on which you might use linen or cotton. My only complaint is that the linen/cotton blend does not come in stripes or other historical prints.

This shirt is a project in my book "Smøyg: Pattern Darning from Norway" by Yvette Stanton. The collar is worked on 40 count evenweave linen, in pattern darning. The shirt fabric is Fabrics-store.com's lovely cotton linen blend fabric. I was really happy with how the fabric made up into a lovely crisp blouse. I really think that those of us who embroider should wear our embroidery more. I therefore have chosen to include embroidered garments in my most recent books. The book contains the instructions and pattern for the shirt and the embroidered collar, so that you can make one too.
