Nico — Bias Cut Dresses & Tops
Nico is a pattern collection of sleeveless, bias-cut dresses and tops with side bust darts and a scoop neckline that easily slips over the head with no closures needed. Available in Maxi Dress, Short Dress, Tunic or Camisole variations with step by step s
|Sizes:||Sized for ladies 0/2 to 28/30 and girls 4/5 to 12/14.|
I have made this pattern six times and varied it slightly with each garment. This dress/top pattern is one of Fabrics-Store.com's best. I raised the neckline about an inch and a half. (Just tape more paper to your pattern top.) This is the perfect dress pattern for garments that you can dress up with jackets, light knit sweater cardigans, or chunky jewelry. It can also serve as a slip or under dress for layering under other garments if you get very sheer linen.
Ladies if you will just click on the down load button , load it in your download folder and when you open it the other files are not in the dress directions they are inseperate files. If you have WinZip look to the left on your screen and you'll see the files listed there to open individually.
I love this design! I´m so glad a copy shop version of the pattern is included. Could you please include copy shop versions in all of the patterns?
NO PATTERN. I HAVE A NEW PRINTER AND COMPUTER SO I AM NOT SURE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS BOUGHT LOTS OF LINEN FABRIC AND CAN'T MAKE THE DRESS
I too can't find the pattern pieces to download only the instructions for how to make it.
I am completely unable to find and download the actual pattern pieces. l have the instructions. Followed the advice to use Adobe but to no avail. Please help me to achieve this. Thanks Kay westergreen
Easy download and easily printed by those that know the process. The sewing may take someone that has sewing experience which I do. The dress is well worth the time and being cut o. The bias makes it hang beautifully and I will definitely purchase fabric and sew from y'all again. The fabric is some of the most beautiful linen I have found. I am not a small girl and found the neckline to be a bit wide and deep so just check it out as you may want to simply pull up the shoulder seam before you put the binding in place. Nice job!
at this point i had not problem printing and everything is to scale...but when lining up and taping pieces together they dont line up exactly or it bunches up so i just eyed it up and will adjust when i cut the tissue pattern.
After numerous attempts to download this pattern, I give up. I have changed servers and downloaded the Adobe Reader several times with no success! Liked the pattern.
I REALLY want this pattern!!!! I'm sure I will rate it a 5+ when I have a chance to make this. I live in Florida and it will be perfect!!!
We can help you better and more specifically to your situation if you contact us via customer support: ask@fabrics-store The "review" section is limiting for back-and-forth communication and intended more for reviews on the pattern / style itself by those who have sewn it.
It was nice to see someone else couldn't get the pattern pieces. but I never got a response from fabrics store.com please help. /the material is beautiful.
I had no problem getting the instructions printed from My I Phone, and jumped from bed to get on the computer to print out the Nico pattern, I also bought the 3 yards linen which I am fond of. I have bought online patterns before but I guess this is one you see the multiple pages and then measure to kind of draw the exact dress, as I couldn't get more that 2 pages whether I hit actual size or not I got a top left hand of the 2 pages which meant really nothing but part of a shoulder seam. Well see if I can reconstruct this , I printed the 16-18 which is in paper sizes squares on the 2 pages one the front the other the back, and also the 12-14, which does not have the paper sized squares, so we shall see. Good luck to me.
I've printed the download, but don't see the pattern pieces anywhere.
I made the Nico dress. I cut it on the bias for my 8 year old grand daughter. I did adjust the arm hole to make it smaller for her thin arms and cut the back lower to give her more room to put the dress on. I raised the front neck so when she bends over her entire front body is not exposed. As a girl may do, she made her own adjustment to the style. She likes the dress backwards! Regardless of my plan she did want the front lower and the back higher as the dress was originally designed. The pattern sewed up beautifully and she loves it. She is such a pretty girl. I called and got Magnolia's exact measurements and the size 6 fit her perfectly. I would have chosen a larger size by her age but the pattern measurements worked perfectly. Thank you for your care in styling and pattern making.
Thank you very much for this wonderful and generous pattern!!! I have always admired the samples and tutorials you have made, and now you have made them available for all sizes. The pictures are excellent. The instructions are very clear and detailed. And the sizes are complete. Best of all, it's free. You have always provided free patterns, but this new free pattern surpasses even those produced by independent pattern sellers. Very well done!
For me Natural Linen is the best. I am an Heirloom Sewing Master and many of my designs are made using Handkerchief Linen.I have taught many classes using this fabric as well as Swiss Batiste and French laces. My specialties are Wedding dresses and accessories, I also love to design Christening gowns. Your Linens are ideal for my work. Thank you for making them available.
