Customer Questions and Answers
Are there any measurements other than finished bust size to help decide on a size to make?
I'm sorry, this is one of our older free pattern which only has the limited size information provided. You may like to print and measure the pattern itself and compare the measurements to a blouse you like the fit of. This should give you a better idea of the fit.
From someone that loves to wear linen, I have to admit I have never bought or actually sewed a linen blouse. I would consider myself an advanced sewer however just need help with buying the correct linen weight, etc. for your Monique pattern? Thank you Joyce F.
Hello Joyce, For this pattern we recommend our medium weight fabrics IL019 and 1C64 or the IL020 lightweight linen.
Здравствуйте. Меня интересует размерная сетка. Какие мерки соответствуют вашим размерам?
Hello, Sizes and measurements are provided in the free download :)
What is the finished length?
Hello the length varies depending on the size selected. You can easily adjust the length on this design to suit you though :)
How many meters of fabric do I need ?
Our tutorial lists 1 yard of fabric is required.
I got my first shipment of linen and I thought I'd start with some easy things. I started with the tank top then I moved on to this. Both patterns were easy to understand and the instructions were helpful. Like others have said, this shirt is very short. I added three inches and it still feels a bit short. Next time I make this, I might another inch. Thanks for the pattern!
I'm getting back into sewing after taking more that a decade off. This pattern is a first for - downloading and using PDF patterns, first time ever sewing linen (excuses listed on this site), making and using bias tape. For those who dread set-in sleeves, this design works around it. BTW, many of your PDF designs are great for people who like Eileen Fisher type styles. Jean
I wanted an easy pattern to get a sewing "fix" for the afternoon. This Simple Linen Tee was just perfect for me. I did tweak it a little, widened the neck opening, added 4" to the length, and put in a continuous lap placket. When I make it next I think I will add 6" to the length. I am a more mature woman, and am finding I like my shirts a little longer. I would love to submit a picture....but not sure how. Thanks so much for offering these free patterns. It is really very generous.
This pattern is great. I suggest making a quick mock-up first (considering its a simple sew this shouldn't take long) as I did have to make a couple of adjustments. The sizing is accurate but this is a very short pattern. I had to add 8cm to the length. I also deepened the curve of the collar because it was choking me. Otherwise, the small details on this pattern make it very elegant and wearable. Nice job!
I purchased this pattern long ago and just decided to print it off. The pattern pieces and instructions are not there. Help!
Good afternoon - this pattern is free to download to your device. Just click on the Free Download button on this page and save it. The sewing instructions can be found here: blog.fabrics-store.com/2015/11/23/simple-linen-t-shirt/ Hope this helps and please email us if you have any questions.
This pattern was easy and super cute to make! I'm not a fan of crop tops and I didn't take into account the length in the front so I added a separate panel to fix that for my comfort. I didn't use linen for my fabric I used a faux leather and power mesh for a different look. Great pattern definitely making this shirt again!
