Customer Questions and Answers

Is this jacket really short? I know I can lengthen it, but the pattern seems very short to me. Thanks.

This jacket stops around the hip bones, but may vary depending on your body shape and height. You may like to view the finished garment measurements and the customer photos shared below.

very stylish. the welt pocket tutorial gave me the confidence to tackle this project. had issues with the collar instructions but eventually figured it out. my sewing skills were a bit rusty after a 20 year hiatus from sewing. i love this pattern.

great casual jacket pattern

Love the final product. It was a challenge for me, owing to my limited sewing experience. While the separate pocket instruction was helpful, I had more trouble with the collar/lapel instructions. I was able to get it done however, and this will be a favorite of mine forever. I chose to make it in the natural color, and it seems like it may be a little coarser than the jacket shown. Hard to tell but the photo on the website seems to have a softer drape. I am going to use some softener, but it really makes no difference to me. Thank you for a great pattern and affordable linen!

Love this jacket pattern. It is a relatively easy pattern for such a professional looking casual jacket. I used the Mecca Orange linen, 7.0 oz. weight.

I love this casual jacket. It was a bit of a stretch for me, but I love the final product and it will be a favorite of mine forever more. I wish it wasn't summertime so I could wear it! Thanks once more for a free pattern and affordable linen.

I want to thank you for making a daunting process a breeze with this beautiful pattern and excellent tutorial. I have never made a jacket with notched collar with lapel before! I even managed to line the jacket using the 'bag method', from another website. The resulting jacket has been the talk of envy for many of my colleagues. Thank you.
