Customer Questions and Answers
Can this pattern be printed on large format printer?
This pattern is only available to download in the one format, A4/Letter.
I'm sorry, this free pattern only has the photographed tutorial.
Can I use regular 8x11 copy paper for printing the Jane notched collar? Thank you.
Yes you can. Please ensure you have set the print settings to "actual size" and/or 100%.
When will this be available? I'm dying to see it up and have just the linen for it. I'm going on a trip in November and this would be so perfect!
Hi! The file didn't upload. Thank you for letting us know. It is available now :)
I successfully completed this pattern. Very cute! When cutting the pattern, the PLACE ON FOLD side of the collar is on the wrong side. I think that's why the person below got stumped. Once cut, the collar should be a nice "C" shape instead of a wonky "W". Hopefully this helps anyone that's stumped. I also shortened this dress a few inches. If I was to make again I would go down a size. It's a cute oversized fit, but I like things just a wee bit tighter.
I made this dress for my long-distance daughter-in-law based on finished measurements of a dress she already had and liked. The finished measurements listed in the pattern instructions were spot-on and she is thrilled with the fit.
Bien que débutante et ne parlant pas anglais, j'ai réussi à réaliser cette robe. Difficile mais les explications sont très claires. Le patron est superbe. Merci
I cannot get this collar to work. I'm an experienced garment sewer but this one got the better of me. I like to overall look so am going to try putting a different collar on
Hi! Send us an email - askfabrics-store.com with where you got stuck and I can ask our seamstress to help. Did you have a chance to see if the tutorial sheds some light? This is the tutorial for the dress blog.fabrics-store.com/2018/07/03/gathered-shirt-dress-with-notched-collar-tutorial/
Just made this dress - great pattern - changed sleeves to long cuffed sleeves. I will post a photo as soon as I finish sewing on buttons. Used oatmeal colored linen from a different vendor, but will be ordering more from this site to make another one in a different color!
Jane in size 14. This is IL019 in Cerulean Blue. Mods I made were to 1) add woven fusible interfacing to the upper half of the front facing and collar and 2) added buttoned on ties at the back waist to bring in a little of the fullness in the back. 3) shortened the skirt a couple of inches to bring it just above the knee.
