Hello, You can find out how to print one size in our helpful article here: support.fabrics-store.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000217423-Using-Layers-and-Printing-Pattern-Pieces-at-Home-PC-and-Mac-Computers-

The one instruction I haven't seen is how to lay out the pattern pieces on fabric.. Maybe I'm missing where to find this information.

Cynthia • October 17, 2023
Lauren profile image F|S Team

Hello! Some of our free pattern don't include illustrated pattern layouts. In order to layout your pattern on your fabric we always recommend starting by laying your largest pieces which go on the fold first, then laying out your other large pieces like sleeves. Then finally slot in any other smaller pieces in the gaps around them where possible. If you're still stuck, send us a direct email and I can help out :)

Same problem as others: I can only download 6 pages which have the measurements. But no pattern.

Would someone mind explaining the specifics of how to print this? my main concern is with the margins. The pdf says to 'overlap the page margins' but each page does not look like it has margins factored into it (ie: the pattern lines touch the edge of the page). If I tell my printer to print it with 1/2 inch or something margins instead of filling the whole page will it shrink the pattern?

Hi! You do not want to ask your printer to add a margin - you are right in that it would alter the proportions of the pattern. Each page has a 1/4 of a circle printed in the corners - you would line up the circle corners to make a full circle and tape the pages together once the circle is lined up. You can also send us an email, and we will screenshot the steps for you. Thank you!

I love this pattern

This has become my go to top pattern, It is so comfortable and fits well. I have sewn it as is, been able to adapt it to make it longer shirt and even adapted it into a tunic. I have also found it makes a wonderful undershirt for layering

Great top

I LOVE this top, I am about to make my 4th. I have left off the pockets to make a the that looks slightly different. I love the fit and it fits with my clothing aesthetic. I will keep making them.

Another great pattern from FS; Thank you!

I just love these patterns that the FS provides FOR FREE! I have only made one of these tops so far, but think that this one we be a good candidate for a button placard down the back, just for added interest (which will be easy to adjust pattern for myself). The big pockets are great, but I double-seamed them at each of the top corners so they do not pull thru the fabric, with wear.

Great Pattern

This is the second top that I have made using Fabric Store linen and patterns. I made the AUGUSTINA top and it went together so easily it gave me the confidence to try this one. Guess what - this pattern is just as easy! I made the 8-10 which is my normal size and it fit perfectly. the directions on the tutorial were really helpful. I feel like I'm going to sewing school - next up the Genia top!

This was an easy project in IL019 Crimson softened. The photo looks a little distorted to me. The blouse is blocky, but the photo looks more so. It fits loosely and in cooler weather I can fit a base layer underneath. The fabric was very nice to sew. Since I have the pattern all put together, I think I'll make another. I have some IL019 BLEACHED FS Signature Finish that I might dye with indigo...or maybe marigolds.

Used IL028, double sided fabric for this cute, easy to sew top. The double sided worked great except for the bias neckline which started to unravel, so I used a pretty stitch from my new sewing machine and just sewed around the whole neckline. You can iron this fabric and it has a whole other look. Can wear with a turtleneck when it's chilly.

Thank you for free beautiful pattern. It's very easy to make it. I used linen-fabric-IL019-bleached-softened-middle.

Meral • May 19, 2021

Made it from my husbands linen shirt without a pocket.

Meral • May 19, 2021

Made out of a golden medium weight linen. Very easy to wear.
