Yarn Dyed 100% linens are made using linen threads that are dyed separately before being woven, allowing for a large variety of patterns and designs that stand out from the base fabric color.

Part of our Luxury Linen Collection this group is a finer middle weight linen that showcases a variety of chambray, stripes and plaids that can coordinate with each other.

Completing the luxurious look and feel is our exclusive "Premier Finish" which is smooth, agreeable to the senses and that perfect final touch that enhances the beauty of these exceptional linen yarn dyes.

The Premier Finish undergoes a two-step process to give the cloth a luxurious, supple feel right out of the box.

First, we apply a softener to give the fabric a silkier surface. Then, strong blasts of air are blown into the woven cloth. This beats up the fibers to make them softer and mimics the fiber bending process that the fabric undergoes when you've used it a lot.

This finishing process gives the fabric a much softer and more luxurious hand. It will be less prone to deep creases and have less linting. Shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration based on the fabric type ( thread size, count, weave type).

Shrinkage

I adore all the linens I've purchased from fabrics-store especially the yarn dyed FS Premier Finish linens. I purchased 16 yards of IL042 906 for a set of sheets. Unfortunately after washing To my surprise it's barely over 15 yards now. Texture, quality, colors, softness were all spot on as I've become accustomed with all my purchases. But it was a huge disappointment loosing so much in the size I measured twice before washing it was 16 yards and twice after it's 15 yards 4" All the previous IL042 yarn dyed linens I've bought did not shrink as much. I have a lot of them but on my next large order I'll make sure to grab an additional yard

Beautiful Striped Blue Chambray

It's actually the negative review that convinced me to buy this fabric. I wanted something not too glaring - like the wrong side of fabric. The cross threads are white while the warp threads are dark blue, light blue and white. The whole effect is subtle depth and iridescence. The stripes are even and easy to match. Out of only 1.5 yards, I managed to make an A-line skirt with large, curved slant pockets. I am very happy with this.

Exactly what I hoped

This material is beautiful, with a naturally worn look. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the color is definitely lighter than the picture. The biggest difference is the main color, that shows up as a worn denim blue on my screen, is much lighter. It's woven with dark blue threads, and white threads, and the white is much more prominent than it looks like in the picture.

Dull

I ordered a 1.5 yd cut from the doggie bag to give this a try. Words can't express how disappointed I am. First of all, the color is extremely dull and looks like the "wrong" side of fabric, though it is yarn dye and exactly the same on both sides. It is quite ugly. And second, 1.5 yds is 54"; I received 52". After it shrinks, it will be significantly less than the 1.5 yds I ordered. As expensive as this fabric is, my expectations were higher than what I received. This company has several good pieces of linen; this is NOT one of them. Save your money and look for something else. This particular fabric is definitely not worth it.

This fabric is exactly what I hoped it would be. It definitely has a worn look, and it is not quite as dark of a blue as the picture shows on my monitor. That said, the color is light, beautiful, and rich. The bias tape is the bleached linen form Fabric-store.
