Not the slightly greyish color you would expect, but rather a nice warm tan/khaki that really stands out and adds just the right amount of color to your projects.
At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 59 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Washed and dried twice and the hand is lovely. The color is between beige and gray. I have made many pairs of summer capri pants with this weight linen and love them.
I Like this fabric
I have ordered this in the past to make napkins. The fabric is soft post washing and of good quality. However, my last order is of a different shade and does not match the previous orders. I am not able to comp- lete this set of napkins because of the mismatch. Very disappointed.
The fabric itself is lovely; soft with a nice drape and feel after only one washing. The color however is very different from the picture. It's definitely a khaki/tan color with very little (if any) gray to it. The name is misleading.
First time buyer. Lovely fabric. Very impressed with the speed of delivery - 9 days to deliver to fairly remote regional Australia! The colour is not at all as expected. A reviewer had said the colour is close to light khaki. I'd have to agree. No grey tint as expected from a colour described as aluminium. It looks browner than the gorgeous natural I also bought. This won't put me off buying more fabric though. Fabulous materials and service. Thank you.

I somehow erred editing this photo and made it look fatter than it is! But in any case, it is aluminium and it was made with only two yards of that gorgeous fabric, so the gathering is a little sparse. It looks wonderful on in any case. I used Dress Shop by Livingsoft software to design the pattern. Also, please note, I posted the high-low blouse below in the wrong spot, it is actually Antique White.
Looks better on me and is so fun to wear! First time finishing a neckline with bias tape and first time making slashed sleeves. Pattern was easy to follow.
Dresden plates on linen quilt. The linen provides a perfect background for the appliquéd pieces. When washed it crinkles up like the old antique quilts. Love it!

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
