This is a 19" wide canvas weight cloth.
Woven out of thick, short staple, linen thread - this fabric is made to scrunch up after the wash and dry. It shrinks about 18% on the weft of the fabric ( widthwise) and 16% of the warp of the fabric ( lengthwise). This gives it the needed density for home textiles.
At a canvas weight of 9.1 ounces a square yard this 100% linen is a fabulous utilitarian fabric that you will love for its simple rustic beauty and strength. Items made from this fabric will wear like iron and last decades.
Yarn Dyed fabrics are made using threads that are dyed separately before being woven. This allows for a large variety of patterns and designs that stand out from the base fabric color.

I've used several different weights of FS-C linen for dish towels, and though most have required some light ironing, they've been fine and are very absorbent. I would NOT recommend this canvas weight for anything that will be regularly washed, however. Huge amount of shrinkage, and it is a tight scrunched ball coming out of the dryer. Even ironing it on high steam still leaves you with a wrinkled fabric. (Who wants to spend time ironing their dish-drying towels, anyway???) It's scratchy, not very absorbent, and leaves black lint on whatever you are drying it with. Didn't pay much for the yardage, but really disappointed.

I was surprised with this fabric. I was hoping for a dark black. It looks like navy to me. Will wash it and see what happens after it shrinks.

Apron simple design. No pattern needed. Just cut length you want. Scoop out at top for bib portion. Add ties and top loop. Bind or turn under edges, stitch. Or just stitch half inch from all edges to let it ravel into fringe edges. Easy, quick and Wonderful Gifts! Everyone loves! Paired with same fabric for DishTowels and or, Placemats. Beautiful!
Initially I was not sure if I liked the weight of this but, it fringed very nicely and I was able to make 3 tablerunners for my son and daughter-in-law . Two are for the width of the table and one for the length. Then I though I would make six placemats for them but uh uh..they are staying right here. Nice heavy duty quality that will last.

Used the black and white canvas and 4C22 linen to make this market bag. The pockets and lining are the 4C22 in "mix" and "anthracite". Love this bag.
Can't imagine why my experience with this IL073 canvas was so different than other reviewers, but this was a major disappointment. Sure, linen wrinkles, but this couldn't even be hung up on a hook or towel bar, let alone easily used to dry dishes. It will iron out a bit, but who wants to have to iron their dish towels after every use? Also leaves black lint all over whatever you're drying and is not very absorbent. I'm sure it looks nice for many of the other types of uses others have put it to, but I definitely would not recommend using it for dish towels.
Oops! Sorry! it's IL073 line of Linen. (not IL070). They are a Huge Hit with all my friends!!!
So Beautiful! Simple, no pattern needed. Cut length. Scopp out Bib at top. Make top loop, or Ties. Add side ties. Heirloom Apron!

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
