This linen is a heavier rustic natural that comes in one solid and various colored stripe patterns, narrow in width for specialty projects such as placemats, napkins, table runners, bath towels, bath and kitchen accessories even apparel and so much more. Close up image shows fabric texture and shrinkage after a wash.

This is a 19" wide canvas weight cloth.

Woven out of thick, short staple, linen thread - this fabric is made to scrunch up after the wash and dry. It shrinks about 18% on the weft of the fabric ( widthwise) and 16% of the warp of the fabric ( lengthwise). This gives it the needed density for home textiles.

At a canvas weight of 9.1 ounces a square yard this 100% linen is a fabulous utilitarian fabric that you will love for its simple rustic beauty and strength. Items made from this fabric will wear like iron and last decades.

Yarn Dyed fabrics are made using threads that are dyed separately before being woven. This allows for a large variety of patterns and designs that stand out from the base fabric color.

Narrow width cloth is great for:

  • Shopping bags
  • Purses
  • Placemats
  • Runners
  • Decorative pillows
  • Kitchen towels
  • Appliance covers
  • Potholders

Gorgeous colors, weave and texture!

I bought this for my sister's huge wood plank farmhouse dining table. She will LOVE it!! The contrast in the yarn dyed colors in the weave is amazing!! 5 yards will provide a table runner and place mats. Thank you!!!!

Great fabric, strong, sturdy, easy to sew

Got this fabric in a doggie bag sale over a year ago. Finally worked it up into appliance covers for my stand mixer and coffee maker. I stitched the raw edges together, then washed it in hot water and dried it in a hot dryer. No lint! It came out wadded up beyond belief! My husband ironed it flat for me with a fair amount of effort. It was soft but strong, pliable but sturdy. The selvedges were beautiful and I did not hem those edges. They can hold their shape without the appliances yet can collapse into a tidy heap. I will wash on cool and airdry from now on. Make sure you note the narrow width!

Barbara profile image Beyond my expectations!

This one was a big, happy surprise! I've used most types of your linen and every box has been great. This fabric is gorgeous; rich, heavy, rustic and beautifully woven. I'm a weaver and can be a little bit overly critical but this one has my full endorsement. The selvedges are wide and very beautifully done (so much so that it would be a shame to hem them). This yardage was slated for a table runner; which I will make but...reluctantly! LOL because I really want a nice big purse or travel bag or lounge pillows, slippers etc etc. I definitely will be buying more of this one. Thank you, again! I'm a HUGE fan

Quick gorgeous table runner

purchases 3 yards for my long kitchen table. When cutting off the ends to make more even I took the largest piece and placed in washer with warm water. Laid it outside in sun , when dry gave it a quick iron with steam. Lost about 1 healthy inch in width and maybe 1/2 inch in length. Sewed up the ends and done! Beautiful!! The black color is more of a dark charcoal.

I just made a simple table runner. Love the sturdiness of the fabric. Washed up well. Removed from dryer before completely dried and hung up.
