earthy, rustic green was a favorite with Russian artist Kazimir
Malevich, investing his paintings with the lush, juicy vibrancy of fertile nature.
A giant of 20th century art, Malevich made his name as
the world's first abstract artist, producing streamlined designs in bold shades of red, green, yellow and black, mimicking the colors of the landscape.
Reflecting on the power and autonomy of his
canvases, he wrote, "A painted surface is a real, living form."
At a medium weight of 5.3 ounces this 59 inch wide 100% linen is versatile enough to be referred to as an All Purpose or Do it All linen. With its smooth look and tighter weave, this linen is neither sheer or heavy, but just the right in-between weight you will need for a variety of projects.
The cloth is Softened so we have added a softener to give it a silkier hand. The fabric has not been laundered so shrinkage will still have to be taken into consideration (shrinkage depends on fabric weave and laundering method).

Customer Questions and Answers
Emerald is maybe a tiny bit darker but I can only see it in bright sunlight. A beautiful color and a lovely fabric to work with.
Color is almost the same as Emerald
This 2019 color Malachite is almost exactly the same color as Emerald, which I got a couple of yards of just before it sold out. In most lights the difference between the two pieces can't be seen at all.

The malachite colored linen washed up beautifully with barely any shrinkage, and no color bleeding! I made a medieval cotehardie, the fabric was incredibly easy to work with, and draped like a dream! Very soft too.

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note that some of our darker or more vibrant shades will have some residual dye run off or bleeding. It is important that you launder or treat like colors with like colors so that you do not compromise the integrity of any other colors, fabrics or garments during the launder process.
We also suggest that if you are combining one or more of these types of colors with lighter colors that you pre-wash the linens seperately and once the item is completed do not launder again, but Dry Clean.
