Monique — Simple Linen Tee Pattern
One of the most basic and must have pieces in your wardrobe has to be the white tee. A comfortable white t-shirt that you can throw on without much thought for all occasions; wear it with the boyfriend jeans for a casual chic look, or with a blazer.
I'm only a beginner seamstress and found this shirt to be really quick and easy to make (the only difficult part really being attaching my self-made bias tape - but only because it was my first time doing so). From the start I planned on extending the length of the shirt as I'm not such a fan of crop tops, and boy am I glad I did! Even after extending the length a bit the final shirt came out quite short. I'm still happy with it and wear it with high-waisted skirts or shorts so nothing sticks out when I lift my arms. But next time I'll definitely be adjusting the pattern to make it even longer. All in all, a really comfortable every-day type of shirt which I have received numerous compliments on. :)
You must be a registered member and have Adobe to download. After that, wonderful pattern, easy, and wide range of sizes so can make many for many people.
This pattern is easy to follow, and the lightweight linen is perfect for our summer weather. I can wear this with everything - skirts, shorts, etc. etc. Thank you so much for the free pattern.
I made this great top in a medium weight Dove Gray linen. Pattern is very easy to follow with the tutorial. However, measure it against your body. I am short, 5'1" and had to lengthen the shirt by 3 inches. Loved it so much I am making another (in purple), extending the sleeves, and lengthened the body 4 inches. Perfect - unless you're going for a cropped top, of course. Thanks for the free pattern.
Sorry for my other comment. After getting some help with Adobe Reader I finally was able to print out the pattern. Very clever to be able to select the size I want to print! I look forward to making it! Thank you!
Download is 3 pages and does not include printable pattern. Where can I find the schematics?
Such an easy template to follow. I made a version out of cheap fabric to test the pattern and ended up loving it so much, I wear it out all the time. Always getting compliments on this shirt.
I used DB IL 041 silver sand softened for this Simple Linen Tee, but added 4” to length and used the sleeves from the Swing Blouse pattern. I am very happy with it. Thanks again for a free pattern and great linen.
