Easy and elegant
Reviewer: Helene

If the instructions open up in your browser rather than in Adobe Acrobat, you should find a little download icon on the toolbar at the top of the instructions. Click on that to initiate a download. Firefox will ask if you want to save the download or open it in Acrobat. You can do either one, but make sure you save it if you just open it in Acrobat or it will go away when you exit the program. I printed this out and then transferred the pattern pieces to gridded pattern paper so each one would be a single piece (rather than multiple pieces taped together). It was easier to make the initial adjustments on the gridded paper as well. I didn't have a muslin yet for this style, so I made one using this pattern and transferred the measurements back to the gridded paper. Now I can use this pattern for any future dresses of this style. I made this in the 'Meadow' linen and it's a perfect weight for summer. I did shorten the sleeves, since I didn't want to have to roll them up. I also made wide loops for the belt, since belts tend to ride up on me without something to hold them in place. Other than those, I made no changes at all. It's wonderfully cool and comfortable.

Can't get the whole pattern to print
Reviewer: Mary

I need help. I can't get the pattern to print. I have a highlighted box over the scale confirmation test (which printed perfectly) but I don't know how to get the rest of the pattern to print. Thanks.

Your download is flawed.
Reviewer: Tamara

Only the instructions download. I have tried another pattern from your site, and it downloads fine. This one does not. Have already wasted too much time; moving on. I work with PDFs daily, and this pattern is not correct.

Not Able To Understand the printed pattern
Reviewer: Ramona

I finally printed your 2 page beautiful pattern now that I received my first linen purchase. Being that I have Firefox I was not able to load up the pattern section from the main instructions. I went to my laptop to bring it in with XP (and Adobe Reader) then added it to a USB then brought it in to my PC. When I brought it in, it was 15% then I changed it to 100%. I thought I had it down pat. Not! What I got was just 2 (8 1/2 by 11) pages without the pattern expanded. So I went back to 15% and printed both pages. I understand the sizing lines but not the different sizing circles with the cross inside them. what did I do wrong. Please help! I can't wait to do this pattern.

Where are the Pattern Pieces

Open with Adobe Acrobat Reader, NOT internet browsers.
Reviewer: Catina

There may be confusion between the program "Adobe Acrobat Reader" that you install on your computer and get free from the Adobe website, and "internet browsers" such as Chome, Firefox, etc that give you a "preview" of a PDF. It is NOT recommended to view/print these PDF patterns using your internet browser. Printing may not be accurate and you will not be able to access all content. Please DOWNLOAD the PDF pattern file, launch Adobe Acrobat Reader and use the File dropdown to OPEN your PDF.

For those of you having trouble finding the pattern
Reviewer: Marion

First of all, the service person who called me was very nice, but she couldn't help me. My son, an IT specialist, discovered that your Adobe Acrobat has to be set to the browser you are using. It defaults to the new one, which doesn't work, and needs to be set to Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer, whichever you use. Once he reset it, I saw the screen as shown, and it printed off fine.

YES! There ARE pattern pieces!
Reviewer: Catina

Customer service is happy to help if you are having trouble. The pattern pieces ARE included. :) * Open the PDF using the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader. An easy shortcut to access all content is to press the [F4] key on your keyboard. Clicking the "paper clip" to your left will list ALL the printable pattern files for all sizes, letter/A4 and "copy shop" layouts. You can also use the dropdown menu (see image I shared to the right (post your work). Additionally, this is a "layered" PDF so you can print just the size(s) you want. :)

NO PATTERN PIECES!
Reviewer: Sandee

I was very disappointed to not find actual pattern pieces! While the instructions were clear and very good, they are useless without the patterns! I expected to find PDF sheets that needed to be taped together to form the pattern pieces. Can you please provided the missing pattern pieces?

CORRECTION
Reviewer: Barb

I am changing my rating. To those of you using a Mac, if you open the download on PREVIEW the pattern does not seem to show up. If you open it on Adobe Reader, all of the pattern titles appear in the left column. You can then click on one and download/save the pattern.

Where is the actual pattern
Reviewer: linda

I have downloaded the pattern instructions but where do I download the actual pattern pieces. I love the shirt and I have the fabric I want to use to make this shirt but I do need the pattern pieces. I have looked over everything to see if there is another link to download the actual pattern pieces. I'm hoping that there is a easy solution that I am not finding.

Reviewer: barbara

I can't rate because I can't get it to print. I do not have a paper clip. I also tried the F4 thing and came up with nothing. I can print out the instructions, but not the actual pattern. Shame, it was a really nice looking pattern.

Beautiful Linen Shirt and Shirt Dress
Reviewer: Esther

Thank you for this pattern! I have just purchased 5 yards of IL19 and now I know what to make from it! The pictures are wonderful, the instructions are super clear and I know the project will be a success. You have outdone yourselves! This pattern is way way better than any of those produced by the Big 4, or any independent pattern maker. Best of all, you have generously provided it for all of us without charge. Thank you!

Zina — Linen Shirt & Shirt Dress

Made the Zina from 1C64 Lead Grey and added pewter colored DecoFoil to the pockets. It was my first time sewing a button up shirt and it went great! The instructions are detailed and easy to follow. I had no trouble with the collar, cuffs, curved hem, or any other parts of shirt sewing often billed as difficult. I found the sleeves to be a little loose but they look great rolled up! I opted to add flat felled seams to the entire shirt for a clean finish and traditional shirt look.

Zina — Linen Shirt & Shirt Dress

For anyone who needs help with finding the "paper clip" icon in Adobe. The easiest is to use the shortcut key "F4". You can also go through the "View" drop down menu as shown. A third way is the sneaky little fly out arrow in the left side bar.
